Today saw the launch of The Little Coffee Bag on Virgin trains travelling up and down the country.
The Virgin Trains service comprises of a fleet of 120 trains and connects six of the UK’s largest cities; London, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow and Edinburgh, which have a combined metropolitan population of over 18 million people.
The Little Coffee Bag Co worked alongside Virgin Trains in order to create a bespoke blend using coffee sourced from Tanzania – which is now served in the first class carriages of each of their 120 train services across the UK. In true Virgin spirit, the company have agreed to give back 10% of their profit to communities in Africa to help to build schools and shelters for young people.
Rob Taylor, Retail and First Class Development Manager at Virgin Trains, said: ‘We are very excited to be introducing a new coffee in first class to enhance our customers experience. It is exciting to be providing not only a high quality coffee but supporting an up and coming business.’
