It has been an exciting week at The Little Coffee Bag Co headquarters, with the company’s first global shipment being packed up and sent on it’s way halfway round the globe to Tokyo, Japan.

The order, which company director Roger Bate hopes will be the first of many, has been placed by Japanese company the Asian Productivity Organisation (APO Ltd) who deal with the country’s productivity with the aim of achieving sustainable socio-economic development.

Speaking of ‘sealing the deal’ with the Tokyo based business, Roger said: “An outsider might be surprised to learn that Japan is one of the largest consumers of coffee in the world, but with coffee products within arm’s reach anywhere in Japan, it’s perhaps only mildly surprising that sales of the drink have long outpaced the country’s traditional beverage, green tea. We are really excited to be showcasing our brand in Japan and getting the opportunity to create a strong relationship with Asia by doing so.”
